Kaniché Réserve

Kaniche Reserve is a Barbados blend assembled by Maison Ferrand, the French house behind Plantation, and carries no age statement. It sits in the classic island idiom of pot and column still rum, soft and approachable, pitched at newcomers and casual drinking rather than the collector shelf.

Built from molasses and aged in oak, it shows a floral, honeyed nose with honeycomb and a buttery note over young wood, then opens to soft vanilla sweetness, chocolate, honey and molasses on the palate, with leather, coconut and hazelnut on a gentle finish. It reads sweet and rounded, an easy companion neat over ice or in a simple cocktail. Listed as unsweetened, though the overall impression is forgiving and mild, this is comfortable rather than complex, an everyday Bajan-style pour at a friendly strength.
