Trois Rivières 1989

Trois Rivieres is a Martinique estate with roots back to 1660 and more than a century of rum behind it, now distilled at the La Mauny site. This 1989 vintage is an older bottling, distilled from fresh pressed sugar cane juice on the island's rum AOC.

Vintage agricoles of this age carry the grassy, peppery cane core into a deeper register of soft wood, dried fruit and spice, the kind of maturity warm climate ageing brings. Bottled at 45 percent, it sits at a contemplative sipping strength rather than full proof.
