Dzama is one of Madagascar's best known rum brands, distilling cane juice rum in the agricole spirit on an island well outside the protected French terms. This Vieux Rhum 6 Ans is pressed from fresh sugar cane juice, aged six years in ex bourbon oak and bottled at 45%, a softer, more rounded take on aged cane juice rum than the dry French island style.

The profile sits firmly in the sweeter, dessert leaning camp. Vanilla and butterscotch carry the nose alongside chocolate, lemon and wood, and the palate follows with vanilla, caramel and brown sugar over a woody base.
