Rhum J.M Jungle Joyau Macouba

Rhum J.M Jungle Joyau Macouba is a white agricole from J.M, the far northern Martinique distillery working volcanic Macouba terroir at the foot of Mont Pelee. A higher strength blanc from this prized house leans into power and freshness in equal measure.

Distilled from fresh pressed cane juice on a creole column run low to keep the spirit grassy and vegetal, it is bottled unaged and unsweetened at 51.8 percent. The nose is fresh and fruity with sugarcane and lime, the palate stays cane driven with lime, flowers and a light olive note, and the finish brings sugarcane, honey, grass and grapefruit. The extra proof adds punch and definition without losing the clean J.M character, a vivid blanc that drinks well neat and turns into a bright, mineral edged Ti Punch.
