Whisper Rum

Whisper is a Barbados rum made from molasses, an eight year old presented at a gentle 40% and bottled without added sugar. It sits in the lighter end of the island's range, far from the rich pot-led Bajan style, offering a soft and undemanding character aimed at easy drinking rather than contemplation.

Matured in ex-bourbon oak, it keeps things light, with caramelised sugar and vanilla on a fairly delicate nose and palate. There is a thin quality to the body and a touch of spirit warmth, and the finish stays short with a faint pungency. This is a straightforward, gentle everyday rum, honest about being modest rather than profound, best enjoyed neat over ice or as an uncomplicated base for a relaxed mix.
