Rhum J.M Blanc

Rhum J.M has distilled at the foot of Mont Pelee in Martinique's far north since 1845, and this blanc is its everyday AOC white, made entirely from fresh cane juice rather than molasses. Unsweetened as the AOC requires, it is bottled at a slightly punchier 50%, which gives it more grip than a standard 40% white while staying approachable for daily use.

The creole column keeps the vegetal cane character front and centre, and the result is grassy and citrusy with a light floral note over earthy, peppery heat. It leans toward the bright, snappy end of the blanc spectrum rather than anything heavy or sweet. That makes it a natural for Ti Punch and cocktails, though some drinkers happily sip it too. Anyone who enjoys straightforward, grassy agricoles will find this a slightly stronger but still easygoing white that holds its cane character well in a mix.
