Blending pot and column distillate keeps it light and approachable rather than a solvent-driven single mark.

Matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled unsweetened at 40%, it carries 8 years behind it. The nose brings banana, tropical fruit, a touch of ester and a sweet edge, the palate turns peppery and lightly woody, and the finish stays sweet and spicy with a whisky-like lean. The esters are present but faint, the body on the thin and watered-down side at this strength, so it reads as a gentle gateway rather than a serious sipping rum. Light, fruity and affordable, it earns its keep as a fruity, characterful mixer more than a contemplative neat pour.
