An entry-level Martinique blanc at 40%, simple and easy with orange, light wood and a vegetal, peppery snap over a dry, bitter finish, an honest value pour for everyday Ti Punch.
Description
Trois Rivieres Cuvee Du Moulin is a white agricole from the Martinique estate with roots back to 1660, now distilled at the La Mauny site from fresh sugarcane juice. Bottled unaged and unsweetened at 40%, it sits at the accessible, everyday end of the range, a straightforward blanc built for mixing more than contemplation.
Distilled in the creole style to keep the cane character in the spirit, it shows orange, light wood and a glue-like ester touch on the nose, then a vegetal, peppery palate with a warming bite, finishing dry and faintly bitter. This is a simple, lightly built blanc rather than a layered one, and it is honest about that, the price reflecting an easy-drinking everyday spirit. It earns its place as a value pour for a casual Ti Punch or a long drink, a friendly entry point for drinkers dipping into agricole without committing to higher proof or more intensity.
