Initially released in 2010, it is aged for 14 years in a combination of traditional American oak ex-bourbon barrels and European oak casks. This initial maturation imparts the whisky with classic Glenfiddich notes such as vanilla, honey, and a subtle touch of spice.

Description

Following this, the whisky is finished in new, or "virgin," American and European oak casks. These casks, which have not been used to age any other liquid, significantly influence the whisky’s flavor profile. The new American oak adds sweet vanilla and caramel notes, while the European oak contributes spicier and more tannic characteristics. Bottled at 40% ABV.
