This official Speyside Distillery single malt and bottled at 40%. The Speyside Distillery was hand built over two decades by the stonemason Alex Fairlie in the Cairngorm foothills near Kingussie, and it grew from George Christie's vision of his own small distillery. George Christie bought the land in 1956 and had a stonemason raise the distillery by hand over the years that followed.

The spirit was run slow through small copper stills for a light, fruity spirit, to build a fresh, orchard fruit character. It was matured in refill ex-Bourbon oak, lending honey and vanilla. With no age statement, it shows a light, fruity body and a honeyed lift. A long fermentation and slow distillation in the short stills are managed by hand to keep the spirit light and fruity. George Christie bought the land in 1956, dreaming of his own small malt distillery. A stonemason, Alex Fairlie, laid every stone of the distillery by hand over some twenty years.

At 40% it is smooth and fruity. A light, fruity sweetness meet soft vanilla and honey from the cask. Beneath it run apple, honey and a soft spice. It closes long, fruity and honeyed. This is a light, fruity Speyside single malt.
