The Character of Islay Whisky Company is an Islay-focused independent celebrating the island's peated style. This 16 year old Laphroaig, from cask 11682, came off the stills in 2005 and was bottled in 2022. in The Stories of Wind and Wave range.

An ex-Bourbon cask and sixteen years shape the brine-soaked peat smoke.

At 59.1%, undiluted, the cask lends vanilla and a touch of honey. Smoke, salt and tar, medicinal to the last.
