Knockando 12 Years Old 1997 (Ex-Bourbon)

This 12 year old was distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2009, a vintage-dated core Knockando. The Speyside distillery, founded in 1898, is the heart of the J&B blend and dates each bottling by distillation year in a matured not aged style.

Now part of Diageo, Knockando makes a light, fine Speyside spirit. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks, the wood frames the malt cleanly over twelve years.

Bottled at 43%. The ex-Bourbon lends vanilla through vanillin, coconut through oak lactones, and a toffee note from maltol. A vintage-dated core Knockando.
