Ti Arrangés de Ced‘ Pomme poire Bio Les Rhums de Ced

This Pomme Poire Bio from the Ti Arranges de Ced range is an organic arrange, a macerated fruit rhum built on fresh cane juice from Martinique rather than a dry agricole. The base is column distilled, but the steeped apple and pear, plus the sugar of the maceration, dominate the character and place it squarely among sweet flavoured rums.

The nose offers apple, pear, vanilla and a faint grassy hint of its agricole roots, while the palate is fruity, sweet and frankly syrupy, with vanilla and a soft orchard sweetness, before a finish of fudge, brown sugar and more syrup. At just 21% it is extremely mild, low in alcohol and openly sugary, drinking more like a lightly spiked apple and pear cordial than a rum. That is the brief here, and on its own terms it is a soft, easy sipper for those who want fruit and sweetness with barely any heat, ideally well chilled or over plenty of ice.
