Description
Born of the Bramble Bar in Edinburgh, this liqueur is the work of bartenders Mike Aikman and Jason Scott alongside gin man Craig Harper, who set out to bottle their signature cocktail rather than mix it fresh each night. Fine gin meets the natural sweetness of ripe blackberries, the two folded together until the spirit glows a deep ruby red and the fruit reads as genuine rather than sugary.
The nose offers fresh blackberry and a subtle juniper spice, lifted by a thread of citrus. On the palate it is sweet and full of dark berry, with mild juniper underneath and a light herbal edge, before a gentle, lingering finish carries the fruit away. Shake it with lemon juice and gin over crushed ice for a proper Bramble, or simply top with sparkling wine.
