TCRL Worthy Park WP 2007

Transcontinental Rum Line selected this Worthy Park as a single cask of pot-still spirit from the St. Catherine distillery, the modern single-estate house known for clean, precise rum at the moderate end of the ester range. Just under fifteen years in ex-bourbon oak give it both the tropical brightness of Worthy Park and the structure of proper age.

The aroma is led by tropical fruit and ester with a menthol coolness and a spicy edge. The palate keeps that fruit going, layering citrus and woody notes over the estate's characteristic poise, and the finish turns earthy and woody with the ester lingering. Bottled at cask strength, 57.9%, and without added sugar, it shows Worthy Park's balance of fruit and oak at full intensity rather than the explosive funk of the heaviest Jamaican marques. A clean, confident single cask for drinkers who want pot-still character with precision rather than chaos.
