Rones del Caribe Ron Roble Viejo Ultra Anejo Zafra is a 15 year old Venezuelan ron made at Licorero del Centro, distilled in 2004, column distilled from molasses and matured in ex-bourbon wood at 40%. Venezuela works in the smooth DOC tradition that produces some of the most dessert-leaning rum in the world.

Venezuelan ron of this type typically shows vanilla, honey, caramel and dried fruit over a soft, rounded body, and at fifteen years expect good oak depth carried in that mellow house style. The sugar status is not disclosed and Venezuelan ron in this bracket often carries some sweetness, so this reads as a smooth, well-aged after-dinner sipper rather than a dry, structured one. A mature expression of the soft Venezuelan style.
