Ouzo Plomari Citruslikör is a modern, citrus forward take on Greek ouzo, produced in Plomari on the island of Lesbos. It keeps the aniseed backbone of classic ouzo but is refined with selected citrus notes, which gives it a fruity, lighter style. At 34% it sits a little below traditional ouzo strength, making it more approachable as a sipping liqueur while still carrying the herbal anise character that defines the category.

The nose shows fresh citrus with aniseed and subtle herbs, while the palate is fruity and citrusy with a harmonious aniseed sweetness and light herbal spice, finishing medium long, fresh and mild. For the trade it offers an anise and citrus lift in one pour, a way to bring Mediterranean aromatics and a touch of sweetness to a drink. Like other anise spirits it can turn cloudy with water and ice, so it reads well in long, chilled serves. Serve it cold as an aperitif or digestif, alongside meze, olives, grilled fish or light citrus dressed salads.
