Old Brothers blend this Barbados rum from two of the island's sources, Foursquare and the West Indies Rum Distillery. At five years, unsweetened and 47.1%, it is a younger, easygoing expression of Barbados with honest, additive-free flavour, sitting in the approachable middle ground rather than reaching for intensity.

The spirit is the classic pot-and-column Bajan style, matured in ex-bourbon oak. The nose is soft and inviting with coconut, vanilla, pastries and praline, the palate nutty with coconut, vanilla and gentle spice, and the finish light with praline, coconut and a touch of spice. The body is medium and the wood restrained, leaving a clean, relaxed profile. This is a flavourful yet undemanding Barbados rum for easy evenings, a fair-value blend that shows the recognisable island character without the weight or price of the older single-cask releases.
