The nose offers vanilla, honey, oak and dried fruit, while the palate brings vanilla, tannin, molasses and a rounded sweetness, closing dry and fruity with caramel. At 45% it is pleasantly balanced and relaxed, leaning toward the lighter Barbadian blends rather than the punch and depth of a cask strength single cask. Opinions vary on where exactly it sits, with a faint sherried edge breaking the typical Bajan picture for some. An undemanding, casual evening sipper for unhurried drinking rather than serious study.
