Malt Riot Glasgow Vat No.6 is a blended malt Scotch from The Glasgow Distillery Company, makers of the 1770 single malt. Malt Riot is the distillery's blended malt, a vatting of single malts built for easy, fruity drinking. It carries the young, fruity spirit of the revived Glasgow distillery.

A blended malt marries single malts from more than one distillery to a house style. A bourbon cask held it, keeping the fruit to the fore. The malts are vatted and married to a bright, approachable whole, then bottled. Production has grown year on year as demand for Glasgow malt has risen. The Glasgow Distillery Company was founded in 2012, the first malt distillery in Glasgow in over a century. Its 1770 name recalls the old Glasgow Distillery at Dundashill, founded in 1770 and closed in 1902. Makar Gin came first, in 2014, and helped fund the return of whisky to the city. The first single malt casks were filled in 2015, the first whisky released in 2018.

At 40% it is clean and bright. Green apple, pear, vanilla and a soft spice run through it, fresh and easy going. A vanilla and a gentle spice give it depth. The finish is bright, spiced and warming. A fruity, approachable blended malt from Glasgow.
