A high-proof Guadeloupe blanc from Longueteau at a bold 62 percent, intense with sugarcane, lime, green apple and floral notes yet surprisingly oily and creamy, a serious dry white for a powerful Ti Punch.
Description
Longueteau, the oldest family-owned Guadeloupe agricole distillery still running, founded in 1895, makes this Blanc 62 from fresh sugarcane juice under the island's IGP, drawing on the blue and red canes of its Esperance estate. Bottled at a fierce 62 percent, it is a high-proof white built for impact.
Naturally fermented without additives and column distilled, it shows intense sugarcane, lime and green apple with a fresh, earthy, floral lift. The palate is vegetal and ginger-spiced with real intensity, yet the texture turns surprisingly oily and creamy, finishing on cane, green apple and florals. The strength makes it a commanding Ti Punch base and a logical next step for drinkers who already enjoy bold blancs and clairins. Dry, vegetal and powerful, with more roundness than its proof implies.
