Longueteau Prelude

Longueteau is the oldest family owned agricole distillery still running on Guadeloupe, founded in 1895 and working entirely from fresh pressed sugar cane juice. Prelude sits in its range as an unsweetened, cask strength expression bottled at 50.1 percent.

Guadeloupe falls under the looser IGP rather than the Martinique AOC, but Longueteau's house style is firmly in the dry, cane led tradition. Expect the grassy, peppery character of fresh cane juice carried at full proof, with a spicy, lightly woody edge typical of the estate. Unsweetened and bottled strong, this is a dry agricole that rewards a splash of water and suits both neat sipping and a robust Ti Punch.
