J. Bally Cuvee Speciale An 2000 is a vintage agricole from the long-running Martinique house J. Bally, dated to the millennium year 2000. It is made from fresh-pressed sugar-cane juice rather than molasses and column-distilled in the classic Martinique manner.

Bottled unsweetened at 45%, it is a dry, oak-aged cane spirit. Tropical maturation at origin works quickly, so a vintage of this age typically shows a grassy agricole core layered with vanilla, baking spice, toasted oak and cocoa, drier and more spice-forward than a sweet molasses rum. A vintage Martinique pour for sipping neat or over a single large cube.
