Description
Isfjord is made in Greenland, and it draws on plants that survive in the untouched far north, where the cold sharpens everything that grows. Juniper anchors the recipe, joined by Arctic herbs, floral notes and the tart red berries of the region, lingonberry and cranberry among them. The pairing of traditional ingredients with these northern foragings gives the gin an unusual freshness and a quiet, wild complexity.
The nose is fresh and aromatic, a distinct juniper note wreathed in florals and light berry. The palate is full and harmonious, fresh herbs balanced by a subtle berry sweetness, before a long, dry, gently spiced finish. Serve it in a G&T with a faintly bitter tonic to lift the floral and fruity notes, or pour it over ice to let that Arctic freshness ring out.
