This Glencadam was bottled by Best Dram, a 10 year old, distilled in 2012, from cask 900034, at 58.5%, one of 272 bottles. Glencadam is a Highland single malt known for a delicate, fruity, creamy style. It became a core malt of the Ballantine's blend after Hiram Walker bought it in 1954. It was bought by Angus Dundee Distillers in 2003, who also own Tomintoul, ending a three year closure. Most of its make long went to blends; bottled single malt Glencadam was rare until a full range arrived.

Drawn from a long fermentation, giving a light, clean, creamy Highland spirit. It was matured in a Pedro Ximenez cask, the wood working into the fruity malt. In integration coconut and vanilla knit with the malt, the pear softening towards a creamy honey. Years in oak deepen the spirit to old gold, the body growing rounder and creamier with time. A soft, creamy texture from the spirit carries through the maturation.

At its natural 58.5% it is full and fruity. A delicate, tropical fruit with a soft body, with raisin, date and treacle from the cask. The mouthfeel is light and creamy, carrying the fruit. It finishes light, fresh and faintly creamy. This is a fresh, fruity Highland single malt.
