Ghost Vodka The Silver Skull

Ghost Vodka is made on summer wheat grown in Cambridgeshire, where mineral-rich, salt-influenced soils give the grain a clean, soft character. Wheat is the gentlest base grain, lending a smooth, rounded mouthfeel, and Ghost Drinks distils the spirit five times. Each pass removes more of the heavier congeners and fusel oils that carry rough notes, raising the purity while keeping a mild depth to the spirit. The Silver Skull is the silver-finished edition of the line, sharing the brand's distinctive skull bottle with the gold release.

The nose carries fresh citrus and a clear hint of honeydew melon over subtle grain. The palate is soft and smooth with that fruity melon note under a light grain sweetness, and the finish is long and velvety with a touch of sweetness. To lean into the melon without sweetening it further, muddle a few fresh mint leaves with a pinch of sea salt, add the vodka and chilled melon juice, and shake it over ice into a chilled coupe: the salt sharpens the fruit and the mint keeps the whole thing fresh.
