Destilerias MG-SL-Miquel-Guanse Santisima Trinidad 7YO

Santisima Trinidad is a Cuban styled rum bottled by Destilerias Miquel Guanse, working the island's column still molasses tradition. Given a 7 year statement and matured in ex-bourbon casks, it sits at a standard 40.3%, offering a fuller, more flavoured take than the lightest, leanest Cuban pours.

The nose is sweet with vanilla, caramel and a smoky edge, and the palate turns woody with vanilla, tobacco and a fruity lift, finishing on brown sugar, vanilla, wood and more tobacco. There is some sweetness and a pleasant weight to the body, which makes it more characterful than a strictly dry ron ligero while staying easy to drink. It earns its place as a tasty, fair value everyday rum, equally at home as a relaxed neat pour or doing solid work in a full flavoured Cuba Libre.
