Clément Silver

Clement is a 300-year Martinique estate, now GBH-owned, working from fresh-pressed sugar-cane juice and best known for its aged range. This Silver is the unaged blanc bottled unsweetened at 40%, an entry into the house style under the Martinique AOC, where added sugar is banned and only fresh cane juice is allowed.

Distilled on a column still that keeps the green cane character intact, it shows more wood-edged depth than a typical raw blanc. The nose carries woody, peppery and raisin notes alongside vanilla, the palate brings black pepper, dried fruit and a young-wood grip over sugar cane, and the finish stays on young wood, cane and leather. Dry and peppery rather than sweet, it leans firmer and spicier than the grassiest blancs, making it a sturdy base for a Ti Punch or a stirred agricole drink where its pepper and structure carry through.
