Description
This is the Clase Azul Día de Muertos Limited Edition Sabores 2021 Añejo, the first release in the brand's Día de Muertos series and presented in a one litre hand painted ceramic decanter. Clase Azul is a 100% Blue Weber tequila produced at Productos Finos de Agave in Jesús María, in the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco, where the agave is cooked in brick ovens. The decanter, made and painted by hand, is the heart of the bottle's appeal.
This edition is aged more than fourteen months in casks that previously held American whiskey, which build the oak-led sweetness the brand is known for. The house style runs distinctly sweet and vanilla forward, with caramel and soft baking spice over the agave rather than a dry, structured profile. Bottled at 40%, it sits among the more dessert-leaning añejos, the ceramic and the ritual as much a part of it as the liquid inside.
