A high-proof Marie-Galante blanc from Bielle, bottled at the island’s customary 59 percent, packed with fresh sugarcane, lime, melon and herbal greenery for a powerful, long and authentically rustic Ti Punch base.
Description
Bielle sits on Marie-Galante, the small Guadeloupe island known for cane variety experiments and blancs bottled to its local custom at high strength. This one lands at 59 percent, a proof the island wears comfortably, and is made from fresh sugarcane juice rather than molasses, in the agricole tradition under Guadeloupe's IGP.
Naturally fermented and column distilled, it opens on fresh cane, vegetal greenery and ripe fruit, with the herbal, peppery cut that marks a serious white agricole. The palate is intense and mineral, sugarcane forward and dry, running long and warm on a hay and vegetal finish. The strength gives it real presence in a Ti Punch, while drinkers who enjoy raw cane character will find plenty to chew on neat. A benchmark Marie-Galante white.
