Baerenman Dry Pink Gin

From the same Pannonian distillery beneath the Austrian Alps, this pink expression begins with freshly harvested raspberries from local farms, soaked in high-strength spirit and macerated, then gently distilled into a raspberry spirit of around 75 per cent. That fruit distillate is blended back into Baerenman's London Dry, the exact ratio kept a closely guarded secret, and brought to drinking strength with Alpine water.

The nose is floral with a herb-garden note and clear raspberry. The palate is fruity and soft, all red berries and ripe raspberry threaded with citrus, finishing long and refreshing. It is summer in a glass, frank and unfussy. Pour it over ice with a light tonic and a few fresh raspberries, or float it into a sparkling spritz.
