Crystal Head Vodka Pride Artist’s Splash Limited Edition

Crystal Head Vodka was created by actor Dan Aykroyd and artist John Alexander, and the Pride Artist's Splash is a limited edition that keeps the iconic skull bottle while wrapping it in colourful artwork. The spirit is made in Canada from corn, with crystal-clear water from Newfoundland, and corn is what gives it that clean, gently sweet neutrality. After multiple distillation to clean up the base, the vodka is filtered through Herkimer diamonds, semi-precious quartz crystals, a distinctive polishing step that leaves it notably smooth and pure. Bottled at 40%, it has earned a double gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

The nose is fresh and clean with fine cereal and a subtle sweetness. The palate is soft and creamy with gentle sweetness, fine vanilla and clear purity, closing mild and pleasantly long. Its clean, lightly sweet corn profile suits a Sea Breeze: build it over ice with cranberry and a good splash of fresh grapefruit juice, where the vodka stays out of the way and lets the tart citrus and cranberry set the tone, while the limited bottle earns its place on the bar.
