Debowa Vodka Goool

Debowa Polska sits in the village of Siedlec in western Poland, founded in 1982 by the Markiewicz brothers, and its name translates as Polish oak. The Goool edition is a grain vodka aimed at football fans and collectors. It is built from quality grain and clear water, distilled several times and then filtered through charcoal, a step that pulls out impurities while keeping the spirit's aroma intact. The signature touch is a piece of oak wood placed inside each bottle, which slowly lends the vodka a subtle woody character. It is bottled at 40%.

The nose is soft and cereal-led. The palate is mild and gently tart with a balanced structure and clear notes of wood, and the finish is long. That faint oak edge is the thing to build around, so keep the serve simple and let it speak: pour it neat over a single large ice cube with a twist of lemon, where slow dilution opens up the woody note rather than drowning it under a mixer.
