Prasiatko, the Slovak “little pig”, is a grain vodka sold in a reusable pig-shaped bottle that doubles as a piggy bank. The liquid is taken seriously: distilled seven times and filtered four, then cut with spring water. The result is a clean, smooth and gently sweet vodka with a clear finish.

Description
Prasiatko is produced by the CARAT Distillery for the Slovak market, built around organic grain and pure spring water. The grain is distilled seven times and filtered four times, a heavy regime aimed at stripping out congeners and leaving an unusually clean, even base. Cut with spring water to 40%, it has a smooth, harmonious texture, while the novelty pig-shaped bottle is designed to be kept and reused as a piggy bank once empty.
The nose is fresh and clean with subtle cereal notes and a fine minerality, the palate is soft and smooth with fine wheat, a hint of herbs and a mild sweetness, and the finish is long and clear. With that clean, slightly sweet profile, a Moscow Mule suits it well: 50ml over ice in a copper mug, topped with spicy ginger beer and a good squeeze of fresh lime. The ginger's heat plays off the vodka's mild sweetness and the clean spirit keeps the drink crisp.
