Böser Kater Pistazie Likör

Böser Kater Pistazie Likör is a pistachio liqueur from the Edelobstbrennerei Schleihauf in Germany, built on fine roasted pistachios balanced with a gentle sweetness. It sits at 20%, creamy and rounded, sitting firmly at the dessert end of the catalogue. In the traditional nut liqueur style, the roasted nut leads with vanilla and almond rounding it and a light caramel note beneath.

The nose is roasted pistachio with fine vanilla and a hint of almond, and the palate is full bodied and creamy, a balance of sweet pistachio, light caramel and subtle spice that closes on pistachio and nougat. Behind the bar it is a nutty dessert modifier: it gives a Pistachio Martini its character, turns a White Russian green and nutty, and adds a roasted edge to creamy cocktails and after dinner serves. It is a flavour experience on its own, especially good chilled or over ice. Serve it cold, or pour it over ice cream.
