La Liqueur de Monin Saveur Litchi

La Liqueur de Monin Saveur Litchi is a lychee fruit liqueur from Monin, the French house from Bourges that supplies the bar trade with syrups and liqueurs. It captures the flavour of ripe lychees at 17% in the 700ml bottle, built on natural fruit extracts in the traditional macerated style for an intense yet finely balanced and slightly perfumed character.

The nose is intensely fruity with the typical lychee flavour, floral nuances and a hint of citrus, the palate juicy, sweet and aromatic with an exotic freshness and a slightly floral undertone, the finish fresh and soft with a long lychee note. In a drink it adds exotic, perfumed fruit and a soft sweetness that reads as something distinctive on a menu, behind a Lychee Martini, an Asian Mule or a Litchi Spritz. Combined with sparkling wine, tonic or lemonade it makes a light aperitif, and it refines sorbets in the kitchen.
