St. Kilian Marzipan Cream Sahnelikoer comes from St. Kilian Distillers, the German single malt distillery in Ruedenau, which uses its mild distillate as the base for a range of liqueurs. This one is built on 100% barley malt distilled twice in original Scottish copper stills for purity, then turned into a non smoky marzipan cream liqueur at 23%, where the almond led marzipan note meets a creamy base.

The nose is marzipan and cream, the palate creamy with marzipan and cream notes, the finish long. The marzipan character, sweet and almond toned, is the signature, sitting on the vanilla, caramel and cocoa that round out the profile. As a cream liqueur it is a dairy emulsion, served chilled or over ice, and once opened it should be kept refrigerated and treated as perishable. It pours neat as a dessert drink and pairs naturally with chocolate and coffee flavours. In a mix its marzipan sweetness and creamy body make it a distinctive base for dessert cocktails, where it adds a confectionery almond note alongside its weight.
