Bottega Cannella Ceylon Cinnamon Liqueur

Bottega is a family distillery in the Veneto, founded at Bibano in 1977 on a vine growing tradition reaching back to 1635 and known for pioneering single varietal grappa. In the tradition of warm, spicy drinks, Cannella combines an infusion of Ceylon cinnamon with the house grappa, giving an intense, aromatic spiced liqueur bottled at 28%.

The nose is intense and soft with cinnamon, the palate fresh and sweet with spicy cinnamon over clove, ginger and a vanilla edge. As a spiced liqueur it brings warm baking spice, sweetness and aromatic depth to a glass, a useful winter note behind the bar. Serve it chilled or on the rocks as an aperitif, stir it into hot or spirit forward winter drinks for a cinnamon backbone, or use it to refine ice cream, sorbet and fruit desserts. A spice modifier that adds warmth wherever a drink needs it.
