Dragon Blood Flaming Hot is a high strength fruit liqueur from Sweden, bottled at a powerful 50% by the house W and B. Its character comes from carefully chosen spices built around cinnamon, intense chilli and ginger, the heat set against a light underlying sweetness so the spirit reads as fiery rather than simply hot. The high strength carries that spice a long way, which is the whole point of a liqueur made to grab attention rather than sit quietly on a back bar.

The nose is spicy and hot with dominant cinnamon, intense chilli and a ginger lift over a faint sweetness, the palate explosively hot with powerful chilli, spicy cinnamon and ginger warmth, finishing long and fiery. Behind the bar its job is heat and warm baking spice, adding a chilli kick and a cinnamon edge to a drink, which makes it a natural ice cold shot and a way to bring fire to a spicy cocktail or a ginger led long drink. Serve it very cold straight from the freezer where the chill tames the burn, or use a measure to spice a long drink built with ginger.
