Flor de Cana Spresso Coffee Liqueur is a coffee liqueur from Nicaragua, made by the family owned Flor de Cana house, which has produced rum sustainably since 1890 at its distillery below the San Cristobal volcano. Bottled at 25%, it builds coffee onto the house rum, so the roast carries a thread of aged spirit and oak beneath it. The marriage of Nicaraguan rum and coffee is the defining idea, in the rum based tradition of the classic coffee liqueurs.

The nose is coffee and wood, the palate aromatic and spicy with hints of chocolate, coffee and wood, finishing long on the palate. Behind the bar it adds coffee roast, dark chocolate depth and a rum led body, which suits it to an Espresso Martini, a White Russian or a Black Russian, where it brings sugar and roast against the bitterness of fresh espresso. It also lifts a stout or an Old Fashioned riff, pairs with chocolate and coffee desserts, and pours over ice. Serve it chilled, or reach for it wherever a recipe calls for a coffee liqueur with a rum character.
