V-Sinne Schwarzwald Kalte Heidi Handcrafted

Kalte Heidi is V-Sinne's modern take on the aperitif, made by hand at their Black Forest gin Manufaktur. Rather than a full-strength gin, it starts with their spirit and macerates it with raspberries, rosemary and a handful of regional Black Forest herbs, building a layered profile that runs fruity, spiced and gently bitter. At 15% it sits lighter than a classic gin yet keeps real character, and that intense ruby colour makes it an eye-catcher.

The nose is fresh raspberry, juniper and herbs with subtle rosemary. The palate is fruity and berry-led, a fine bitter note cutting the sweetness against juniper and spiced herbs, before a fresh, berry finish that lingers nicely. Serve it as a Heidi Spritz, equal parts aperitif and tonic over plenty of ice, a fitting drink for a long summer evening on the patio.
