Onda do Sul looks to the Portuguese coast, the salty air and warm sand of its beaches, and reaches for botanicals to match: distilled pine shoots, lemon myrtle, citrus peel and mint. Bottled at a bracing 57%, it keeps every aromatic intact, and the flask wears a lady's head with shell earrings, breaking-wave hair and a hat made of a boat and botanicals. A maritime piece for the shelf as much as the glass.

The nose is all fresh lemon and mint. The palate follows with ripe lemon, more mint, the citrus-eucalyptus lift of lemon myrtle and that resinous pine-shoot greenness, the high strength pushing it all forward. The finish runs long. Mix with a light tonic and a sprig of mint, letting the navy strength carry the coastal botanicals.
