Heather and wild thyme set the tone here, all soft florals and a wash of ripe blueberry sweetness. Named for the 16th-century Irish pirate queen Grace O’Malley, it gathers fourteen coastal plants from Ireland’s rugged west coast, sea fennel and blackthorn among them. Fresh, gently sweet and unmistakably maritime on a long, floral finish.

Description
Granuaile Irish Gin takes its name from the legendary Grace O'Malley, the seafaring clan leader who ruled Ireland's Atlantic coast in the 16th century. Distilled in copper pot stills, it draws on fourteen Celtic coastal botanicals that grow along that wild western shoreline: wild thyme, red clover, blackthorn, bilberry, sea fennel and the heather that, in Celtic lore, stands for luck and protection. The result reads like the landscape it comes from.
The nose is fresh and floral, with ripe blueberry and a clear note of heather. The palate stays soft and lightly sweet, wild thyme and blackthorn threading through delicate floral nuances, while a faint salinity recalls the sea. It finishes long and clean. Build it into a G&T with a sprig of thyme and a few blueberries, or let it carry a maritime martini.
