Uppercut Dry Gin

Uppercut is a Belgian dry gin that does not pull its punches: bottled at a hefty 49.6 percent, it is built on clean neutral spirit and a careful botanical selection, with classic juniper at its core and fresh citrus and spicy herbs filling out the frame. The high strength is the point, drawing every aromatic out with real force, yet the gin is composed enough to stay elegant rather than merely loud.

The nose is intense juniper with fresh lemon, spicy coriander and a hint of lavender. The palate is powerful and expressive, juniper dominant over citrus, gentle pepper and herbs, with a subtle sweetness keeping it in check before a long, lightly peppery finish. It is made for a robust gin and tonic with a dry Indian tonic and lemon, and holds its own beautifully in a Negroni.
