Benromach is best known for its whisky, but Red Door turns that craft toward gin, distilled in a small copper pot still affectionately called Peggy. The name nods to the distillery's striking red doors, and the spirit is built on a quality grain base refined with eight hand-picked botanicals. Among them are heather, sea buckthorn, rowan berries and bitter orange, a roll-call that reads like a walk across the Scottish hills.

The nose is fresh and floral, citrus and heather over a clean juniper note. The palate is complex and balanced, sea buckthorn and rowan berry bringing a tart fruitiness against bitter orange and spiced juniper, leading to a long, slightly dry finish with herbal and citrus freshness. Pour it over a premium Indian tonic with a twist of orange zest, or let it carry a Negroni with real backbone.
