Earthy white Alba truffle leads, all creamy umami depth and a whisper of oak, with juniper and warm spice holding the line beneath. Cambridge billed this as the world’s first digestif gin, distilling the truffle itself to carry its flavour into the spirit. Long, smooth and quietly luxurious after dinner.

Description
William and Lucy Lowe built The Cambridge Distillery on the idea of doing the impossible quietly, and Truffle Gin is their boldest gesture. Looking at an after-dinner drinks list one evening, they noticed clear spirits had no place there, so they set out to make one that did. The signature is white truffle from Alba in Piedmont, distilled rather than infused, a precise technique that carries the fungus's earthy elegance into the spirit without losing it to heat. It took the Ultra Premium honours at the Luxury Spirits Masters in 2017.
The nose is unmistakably truffle, intense and savoury, threaded with herbal and spiced notes. The palate is deep and creamy with that umami pull, balanced by a fine peppery warmth, before a long, smooth finish carries gentle truffle and oak. Best sipped slowly over ice as a digestif, or stirred into a dry Martini with the merest hint of vermouth.
