    Elephant German Sloe Gin

    500 ml / 35%
    Sloe

    $51

Dark berries and ripe blackthorn fruit lead into a sweet-bitter depth that lingers. Made by steeping handpicked sloes in the brand’s African-inspired London Dry, it carries the same hand-calligraphed labels and conservation conscience as the original. Each bottle helps protect the elephants that gave it its name.

Elephant Gin was born on journeys through Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa, where a love of gin met a commitment to wildlife, and the brand still donates a share of every bottle's profits to African elephant conservation. This Sloe Gin takes that spirit and folds in handpicked blackthorn berries, steeped to draw out their deep, fruity character. The labels are calligraphed by hand and each bears the name of a particular elephant, a small ceremony repeated bottle after bottle.

The colour is a deep red-brown, the nose fruity and softly sweet with delicate spice and clear blackthorn. The palate is intense and beautifully balanced between bitter and sweet, dark berries and ripe fruit playing off one another, with a long finish. Enjoy it neat over ice, lengthened with soda, or poured into a winter cocktail where its berry depth can shine.
