Yamazaki Limited Edition 2014 is a no age statement single malt from Suntory's distillery in the valley of Shimamoto, Osaka Prefecture, where the meeting of three rivers and humid air shape the spirit. Part of an annual run from Japan's oldest whisky house, each year's edition offers a fresh marriage of stock built around the distillery's familiar character.
Leaning on ex-bourbon oak in the house style, this release shows vanilla, ripe orchard fruit and soft baking spice with the bright, clean clarity that American wood gives the malt.
