Mars Tsunuki Single Malt Japanese Whisky

Mars Tsunuki Single Malt from Hombo Shuzo's Tsunuki distillery in Kagoshima prefecture is a no age statement single malt matured in a combination of Ex-Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks, then bottled at cask strength of 49%. Established in 2016 on the southern Kyushu coast, Tsunuki was designed to exploit the region's warm, humid conditions for a richer, faster-developing character.

The cask combination shapes a broad flavour range: the Bourbon wood contributes honey and vanilla while the Sherry casks add dried fruit, leather and a darker chocolate note. Fresh fruit and citrus provide brightness across the mid palate, reflecting the distillery's clean, fruity new make. The warm southern climate pulls the maturation forward, giving a rounded weight that sits comfortably at 49%.
