Miyagikyo Bourbon Wood Finish (LMDW)

Miyagikyo Bourbon Wood Finish (LMDW) is a no age statement single malt from Nikka's Miyagi Prefecture distillery, selected and bottled by La Maison du Whisky for event distribution in 2018. LMDW is one of France's most established whisky specialists and periodically works with Japanese distilleries to release expression for event markets, and this bottling places Miyagikyo in that collaborator context.

Matured entirely in Ex-Bourbon casks, the whisky draws on the typical Miyagikyo profile of orchard and fresh fruit, vanilla and gentle malt, with the bourbon wood contributing soft wood spice and caramel. At 46%, it is a step above the standard distillery ABV, giving slightly more texture and length. The LMDW provenance and event-market format make it a bottle that circulates primarily among specialist whisky retailers and enthusiasts.
